There were more than sixty different models of oak-cased Apr 15, 2020 · There are a fair number of Canadian clock enthusiasts that have various sized collections of Pequegnat clocks. All of the movements and wood cases were made starting in Berlin, Ontario and then Kitchener (since 1916) from 1904 until the brass shortage of WWII closed the company factory around 1941. A supplement was found for the 1904 catalogue number 1. Approximately sixty-five catalogued models of mantel clock are known, as well as sixteen models of wall clock (with variations) and seven models of grandfather (hall) clock. Our museum has an almost complete set of the roughly ninety catalogued models of mantel, wall, and hall (grandfather) clocks produced by The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company in Berlin / 1916 / Kitchener, Ontario between 1904 and about 1941. Over 100 models eventually made their appearance. Catalogues were found for for the years 1904, 1913, 1918, then 1920 – 1925 and 1928. Although my collection is modest by comparison with just eight Arthur Pequegnat Canadian-made clocks they cover a range of models from kitchen to wall clocks.
